Are you the one who often working with a lot of windows or folders at the same time on your desktop? Do you want to better organize your desktop and reduce the clutter? Who don’t want it, right! Okay, so you want make your desktop less clutter than before.

Add Tab Browsing to Windows Explorer with QTTabBar

You can consider ( I mean must! ) using tab bar in your windows explorer. I believe you are familiar tab bar. It is similar with the tabs in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Why there is no such feature in windows explorer in the first place? QTTabBar is a small freeware windows utility that allows you to create tab browsing feature to your windows explorer. Now, you can work with multiple windows/folders within the same windows explorer.

Besides, QTTabBar also offers a number of useful features, like the tooltip preview for your image and text files and browsing your folder with the drop down preview function. There are a lot more features waiting for you to discover.

Note : The tab bar will not automatically appear after installation. You need to relogon to Windows, open folder, then right click on the toolbar of explorer. Check “QTTabBar” and “QT Standard buttons“. Done! If you use Vista, press Alt key to show menu bar beforehand.

QTTabBar is compatible with Windows XP and Vista.
