Files by Google (previously known as Files Go by Google) has been updated with a new dark mode theme. Plus, the free junk cleaner app for Android also comes with a new media player to play songs or videos offline. And recently the app has archived a 100 million installation milestone. Congratulations!
The app comes with three main features. It allows users to free up space on their Android devices, help you find your files faster, and enables you to share files offline with your friends. Moreover, you can backup the files from your device to Google Drive or any other cloud storage app.
Dark mode is picking up popularity on the web as well as on the mobile devices. Files by Google is the latest app to adopt the dark mode theme as it helps to preserve battery life and helps to reduce eye fatigue. To turn on the dark mode, simply tap the three horizontal line (Menu) icon > Settings. Toggle on the dark theme option.
In addition to that, the app has a new media player controls like Skip, Rewind or Fast-forward. You can play music or videos offline directly from the app. 🙂
