Google Translate app supports 60 new languages in its instant camera translation1 min read

The instant camera translation is one of the main highlights of the Google Translate app. It allows you to translate foreign text into your language by simply pointing your camera at the text. This feature comes in handy when you are travelling abroad. Yes, imagine how you can now read and understand most if not all of the signboards in a foreign land. 🙂

Google has recently updated its Translate app. The newly released update makes the already outstanding feature, even more impressive! The instant camera translation feature gets new upgrades like automatic language detection, better translation quality (thanks to the Neural Machine Translation technology), and it now adds support for 60 new languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese.

In addition to that, the translated text is now more stable and easier to understand. Plus, all three camera translation features (Instant, Scan and Import) are now conveniently located on the bottom of the app.
