Recuva 1.46 with Improved Deep Scan and added new Folder Scan to Context Menus1 min read

Piriform's Recuva version 1.46

Last week, Piriform has updated its Recuva application to version 1.46. The freeware file recovery tool for Windows gets improved Deep Scan mode for exFAT and FAT file systems, new folder scan option in Windows Explorer context menus and a handful of usability improvements. Read on for all the details.

Besides allowing you to recover files using the recovery wizard or the advanced mode, now you can run folder scan for deleted files straight from the Windows Explorer context menu. Right click on a particular folder and you shall notice a new “Scan this folder for deleted files” option.

In addition to that, Recuva also expanded its file filtering with newly added file extensions.

– Added new file extensions to filters
– Improved accuracy of scan statistics
– Improved usability of folder browser
– Improved uninstallation of menu items
– Fixed minor bug in secure overwrite on exFAT file systems
– Minor improvements to the recovery wizard
– Minor GUI improvements

Recuva is compatible with both 32-bit and 64 versions of Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP and 2000.
