At the end of last month, Symantec has released its 2015 (aka version 22) lineup of security software products. The products include the first release of Norton Security and Norton Security with Backup.
Following the release of new security products, Symantec has updated the Norton Removal Tool. The new tool allows you to completely uninstall or remove any of Norton installations including the above-mentioned Norton 2015 lineup of products.
To use, simply run the portable Norton Removal Tool 2015 and follow the on-screen instructions. There is a CAPTCHA code to enter. The tool will automatically detect the installed Norton products on your system and uninstall them once and for all, without leaving leftover files. Program settings, quarantined files and even product key will be deleted. Reboot is required to complete the uninstallation.
Note that you should only run this removal tool for removing a failed installation or a damaged Norton product, otherwise you can opt for normal uninstallation process.
Norton Removal Tool 2015 is portable and is designed to work with Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000.
