It’s the first day of October! That means we are getting closer to the launch date of the Windows 8. Besides the people over Microsoft, software companies are also busy updating their applications to support the next generation Windows OS.
Take for example, IObit has updated its free disk defrag tool with support to Windows 8 a few months ago. It carried version 2.5.

Now, the newer IObit Smart Defrag v2.6 has added improved support to Windows 8, improved Smart Defrag updater and improved user interface. In addition, the set-it-and-forget tool (thanks to Automatic Defrag feature) comes with updated language files and a handful of bug fixes.
Smart Defrag v2.6 is free for download and is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP. Note that the application installs IObit Toolbar to major web browsers by default.
