Two days back, AVG Technologies has released the latest version of AVG Anti-Virus Free edition 2012, as well as the AVG Internet Security 2012 and AVG Anti-Virus 2012.

AVG Anti-Virus Free edition 2012 comes with comes with several improvements – it is now lighter, required shorter time to install, has a faster scanning time and get a slightly tweaked interface.
AVG 2012 also improves upon our last edition by speeding up full disk scans by up to 50 percent and browser launches by up to 10 percent. AVG 2012 is lighter, faster and smaller than any previous AVG product.
As for the features, the AVG LinkScanner tool has been improved to scan for more dynamic code, meanwhile the new AVG Advisor tool monitors your browser and prompts you to restart your browser if the browser consumes too much memory which leads to sluggish PC. Moreover, the PC Analyzer scans your system for Registry and disk errors. Other features like AVG LiveKive, AVG Family Safety and AVG Accelerator are available for premium versions of AVG 2012.

AVG Anti-Virus Free 2012 is compatible with Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP operating systems. It provides basic protection for surfing, searching and social networking to hundred of millions of computers worldwide.
