How to check the versions of .NET Framework currently installed on your Windows?1 min read

.NET Version Detector

.NET Version Detector by ASoft is a portable and simple-to-use tool for Windows that as the name suggests, enables you to check the versions of .NET framework that are currently installed on your system. Yes, it does just that, quick and sweet. 🙂

.NET Version Detector

The small tool is able to detect the versions of Microsoft .NET framework installed from version 1.0 to the latest 4.5.2. During our test, the tool has detected version 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2, 3.5SP1 and 4.5.1 on our system. In the main interface, the installed versions are shown in white text.

If a particular version says 4.5.2 is not currently installed on your system, you can click on the green download button, which resides to the left of the .NET 4.5.1 version. Note that offline installer will be downloaded. The purple button lets you download the SDK.

.NET Version Detector doesn’t require any version of .NET to run, plus you can carry the tool on your USB and won’t take much of the space. By the way, it’s compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
