CCleaner v3.12 with Added Support for Firefox 7 and Firefox 8 Beta1 min read

Piriform has released a newer version of CCleaner. The freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool for Windows, now carries version 3.12.1572.

In previous version (v3.11), CCleaner has added initial support for Windows 8. In this latest version, the newly added features are the support for Firefox 7 and Firefox 8 Beta browsers. Besides that, more applications are added to the cleaning rules. This includes AVG AntiVirus 2012, ACDSee 14, BitZipper and Avast! Antivirus 6.

  • Added Firefox 8.0 Beta support.
  • Added Firefox 7.0 Final support.
  • Added secure delete for Cluster tips.
  • Added secure delete for Alternate Data Streams.
  • Added cleaning for Network Passwords.
  • Added PATH environment variable cleaning.
  • Added cleaning for Top Sites in Safari.
  • Improved support for Chrome Canary.
  • Improved support for Firefox Aurora channel.
  • Added cleaning for AVG AntiVirus 2012, ACDSee 14, BitZipper and Avast! Antivirus 6.
  • Improved cleaning for VLC Media Player and Axialis IconWorkshop.
  • Added Marathi translation.
  • Minor bug fixes.

CCleaner v3.12 runs on Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP and Windows 2000 operating systems. Including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
