Bitdefender has just updated its free install-and-forget-it antivirus solution – the Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition to version 1.0.15.
The latest version comes with several minor changes. There is a new option to add exceptions to detected items. Both Pending Cleanup and Quarantined Files tabs are now replaced with a new Threat Control tab. The tab displays both quarantined items and exceptions applied by you.
In addition to that, there is option to bypass detected webpages at your own risk. Also, new actions are added to the security flow when suspect items are found during scan, quicksweep flow enhanced for maximum protection, plus ignored item section now displayed separately for password-protected archives. Last but not least, Comodo Firewall which is previously marked as incompatible solution is now working with the free antivirus.
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition can be run alongside with your existing security solution and is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
