Automatically Install Latest Version of Norton Security Software on Windows1 min read

Say, you have the Norton Antivirus 2011 running on your system and want to install the latest version of Norton Antivirus 2012 to your Windows, this is when you need the Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool.

Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool is a freeware application for Windows that enables you to automatically uninstall all Norton security products from your computer and install the latest version of your Norton security product to the computer.

Note that this tool is only compatible with the following security products:

  • Norton AntiVirus 2009 and later versions.
  • Norton Internet Security 2009 and later versions.
  • Norton 360 Version 3.0 and later versions.

To run this tool, make sure you’re connected to the Internet because the tool will need to download the setup installer of the latest Norton security software from the Internet. The setup installer will be downloaded first before carry out the uninstallation process. After completed, the new Norton security software will be installed.

As Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool will remove all Norton products from your system, so if you have any other utility products like Norton System Works, Norton Ghost, pcAnywhere, or Norton Utilities installed, they will be removed during the process. So you have no choice but to reinstall them manually. That’s the only drawback of this application.
