We all know that Google has a huge library of books and magazines in its digital database, which can be accessed from the Google Books, a web service that was launched back in 2004.

Now, Google has taken a step further with the launch of a new online bookstore called Google eBookstore. The Google eBookstore claimed to have the largest ebooks collection on earth, which made up of public domain classics and brand new bestsellersunder. It has more than 3 million ebook titles under it’s belt for you to browse and search. Of that numbers, hundreds of thousands of them are available for purchase.

Below is a video demo on the Google’s new eBookstore.

Google offered a free and full featured web reader (compatible with any browser with javascript enabled) for you to buy, store (unlimited ebooks) and read the Google eBooks in the cloud.

Other than that, Google is also offering free ebook reading apps for devices including Android smartphones, Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, Barnes & Noble Nook and the Sony eReader.

At the moment, the Google eBooks are only available for sale to customers in the U.S. country. So for non-US customers, you can still browse millions of free and public domain Google eBooks and read them across various devices.
