DiGi has revealed the plan and pricing details for the MiFi device on the DiGi MiFi official page a few days back.
Digi only offers one plan, the Explore broadband package which comes with 16GB monthly data usage quota. For signing up for the broadband package, you can get the DiGi MiFi device for free through rebate on monthly bills.
The MiFi device is priced at RM 360 for upfront purchase. Meaning you will need to pay RM 360 upfront for the device but through the monthly rebate of RM 30 for up to 12 months (RM30 X 12 months), you should get total rebates of RM 360 on monthly bills, which will cancel off the RM 360 you’ve paid earlier. Therefore, the MiFi device is logically free of charge.
With the RM 30 rebate, you need to settle only RM 128 for monthly bill from the actual RM 158. After the 12th month, the monthly bill will revert to RM 158.
If you exceed the monthly allocated data volume quota, the fair usage policy is applied. Your broadband speed will be throttled to 128 kbps from the normal 700 kbps.
