How to take your Google game to the next level? [Infographic]2 min read

How to Find Almost Anything on Google

How’s your Google game? Sure, anybody can punch a stream of words into the search engine, hit return, and then plow through the results to find what they need. Most of us don’t even bother to correct our own typos as we go along, confident that Google can figure out what we mean. But don’t you think you’re about ready to take your Google game to the next level?

How to Find Almost Anything on Google

Google has developed its software and artificial intelligence to a stage where it now understands more or less what you’re asking for, even if you type in (or say out loud!) incoherent babble. That’s fine for amateurs. But when you help Google to help you, you can save just as much time but get far clearer answers to your questions.

What do we mean? Well, you’re probably aware that databases have their own language. Google has long since included many of these search functions in their own search software, but it’s adding functionality all the time.

For example, if you’re searching for a flight status you no longer need to work your way through the usually badly-designed airline website. All you need to do is to enter the flight number between square brackets and send off your search – so long as you typed it right, the status will be provided for you without you even needing to click away from Google.

There are similar tricks for all sorts of topics that you might want answers on quickly, such as movie release dates, the weather, currency and other measurement unit conversion, or even the facility to flip a coin at random. Great if you’re bad at making decisions! (And don’t have a coin).

This stunning new visual resource from NetCredit contains a wealth of possibility for upping your Google game. Pack these Google search tips and cheats in your kit bag, and you’ll make every area of your online life a whole lot easier.
