Panda Security has released the latest version of its cloud-based antivirus client. The Panda Cloud Antivirus now carries version 2.0 (for both Free and Pro version) and is now available for download at official site.
Apart from dozens of bug fixes and revamped interface, the Panda Cloud Antivirus Free also get improved performance, 50% faster scans, new cloud-based disinfection engine, new behavioral analysis engine and improved offline protection for your system. Moreover, the security software is compatible with Microsoft’s upcoming operating system, the Windows 8.
Other than that, there is a community-based firewall incorporated into the security software. However, the feature is currently available only to pro version. It costs $29.99 to upgrade to pro version.
If you have older version of Panda Cloud Antivirus currently installed on your system, you don’t have to do anything but to wait for the new version update to come, which could take place anytime soon.
For fresh installation (aka first time user), you might want to disable a few installation options if you don’t feel like needing them, such as Option 1 – Panda Toolbar and Option 3 – set MyStart as your default home page.
Panda Cloud Antivirus Free 2.0 is free for download and is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
