Software maker IObit has released the Driver Booster 2 Beta. Interested users can download the beta version of the next stable driver updating tool, and get a glimpse into the feature lineup.
First and foremost, version 2.0 gets a brand-new user interface, albeit still using the same black and red color schemes. The scan button looks bigger and resides at the center of the interface.
The new version introduces game drivers database to better support game drivers. You shall notice the scan result is now divided into two categories – device drivers and game drivers.
Other than that, users get to install nothing but the latest drivers thanks to the adoption of online database update method. Meanwhile, the smart installation mode enables you to play games or run other programs in full screen without any interruption. Furthermore, there is improvement to driver download speed (for both PRO and FREE version), plus the driver download size has been trimmed to save your internet data. The driver installation package also takes up smaller space than it suppose to, on your computer.
Last but not least, you can now easily restore drivers to previous version when something unusual happens after installation. The options to backup and restore drivers are found under the Rescue Center.
IObit Driver Booster 2.0 Beta is free for download and is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
