AVG Technologies has updated its suite of key security products. The new and updated products include AVG Antivirus Free edition 2013, alongside with AVG Internet Security 2013 and AVG Anti-Virus 2013.
This is the main interface of the new AVG Anti-Virus Free 2013. It has been redesigned to match the metro style in the upcoming Windows 8. You shall notice all the buttons have now turned into tiles!
Besides the revamped interface, the free antivirus software comes with several new features including the protection against spyware and introduction of two handy proactive advisors to the security products – the AVG Do Not Track (enable or disable trackers on particular webpage) and AVG Wifi Guard (warns you of vulnerable public WiFi that you are about to connect to).
Well, these features are nothing new, at least to commercial users, because they were available on premium versions of AVG for quite some time already.
AVG Anti-Virus Free 2013 is compatible with Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP operating systems. (No words on Windows 8 despite deploying the metro UI style).
