Romanian security product vendor Bitdefender has released its 2020 range of security products for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. The new Bitdefender 2020 includes Total Security 2020, Internet Security 2020 and Antivirus Plus 2020. Trial versions of all the mentioned products are available for download since last week.
The latest version comes with several new features and improvements. Among the new features are the Anti-Tracker browser extension and Microphone Monitor.
Anti-Tracker allows you to block trackers from collecting your browsing data on popular browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for both Windows and macOS X. Meanwhile, Microphone Monitor enables you to detect any applications or web pages that are trying to gain access to your built-in microphone silently without your consent. Bitdefender will monitor your system and notify you of such potential malicious exploits.
Improvements are seen across its prevention, continuous monitoring and remediation technologies. Network Threat Prevention, Web Attack Prevention and Real-Time Protection, have been fine-tuned to ensure the best balance between protection and performance. In addition to that, the upgraded Advanced Threat Defense enables you to identify ransomware-specific behavior and block even the newest ransomware attacks. Meanwhile, the newly improved Time Machine Protection for Mac OSX and Ransomware Remediation for Windows allow you to remediate any potential ransomware damages.
Last but not least, the Bitdefender Mobile Security for iOS (part of Bitdefender Total Security 2020) ensures a safe browsing experience by alerting you about potential malicious webpages that you’re about to visit and when your installed apps try to access malicious domains.
Bitdefender 2020 comes with 30 days of a free trial. All products are compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1/ 8 and Windows 7 SP1. Bitdefender Total Security 2020 works with macOS (macOS X Yosemite or later), iOS (version 11.2 or later) and Android (version 4.1 or later).
