Earlier this month, AVG has released the public versions of its 2014 range of security products. This includes AVG Antivirus Free 2014, AVG Antivirus 2014, AVG Internet Security 2014, AVG Premium Security 2014 and AVG PC Tuneup 2014. The products are now available for download.
All the security products including the AVG Antivirus Free 2014 now feature a File Shredder. As the name implies, the tool enables you to shred and permanently delete unwanted files from your computer beyond recovery. There is almost no way to recover those deleted files.
Besides that, AVG also introduces a new AVG Data Safe feature. It works like a vault which encrypts your valuable documents, photos, videos or any files, and stores them onto a password protected virtual disk on your PC. You won’t find this feature on AVG Antivirus Free 2014. In AVG AntiVirus 2014, you can only create a single safe, but Internet Security and Premium Security allow you to create multiple safe.
Last but not least, malware detection has been improved with the new releases, and all AVG 2014 products are fully Windows 8.1 compatible. There is almost no changes to interface though.

AVG Antivirus Free 2014 is free for download, PC Tuneup 2014 with 15 days trial and 30 days trial for the rest. All products are compatible with Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP.
