In addition to the rather limited number of apps from Windows 8 Store, PC users can enjoy more than 500,000 Android apps on the next-generation Windows OS, thanks to the partnership of AMD and BlueStacks.

A few days back, the computer chip maker has launched the AMD AppZone Player to bring the Android experience on AMD-powered desktops running the Windows 8 and also Windows 7.

We couldn’t test drive the AppZone Player as we are using Intel-powered system. So if your system isn’t running AMD, just forget about the AMD AppZone Player because it just won’t installed to your desktop. Alternatively, you can try BlueStacks App Player.
