We are now less than two weeks to the launch event of Windows 8. And yesterday, Microsoft has officially start taking pre-orders for Windows 8 Pro Upgrade. Interested customers can reserve the packaged DVD of Windows 8 Pro upgrade at suggested price of USD$69.99.
The image above is one of the five available box art designs for Windows 8 Pro DVD Pack. It’s the same as the previously-published leaked images and eco-friendly too. 🙂
We moved to paper based materials (the exception of course being the upgrade DVD inside) which allowed us to make an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption. And we’ve reduced the packaging weight by 41%.
Reservations can be made at select retailers in the US including Amazon.com, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot and the Microsoft Store and many more.
For cheaper option, you can perform the upgrade online on October 26 via Windows.com for just $39.99 if you are currently running existing Windows 7, Vista or XP on your computer or $14.99 for users who purchase a new Windows 7 PC between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013.
