In our previous article, guest blogger James Adams has shown us a number of 11 creative ways to express ourselves in the form of the Facebook’s new Timeline cover image. Today, we are going to further extend the Timeline experience by turning your Timeline into a short video clip.
Yes, you are going to make your own Timeline’s video. And to do so, you will need to use the newly released Timeline Movie Maker, a collaboration project by marketing agency, Definition 6 and Facebook.
The Timeline Movie Maker is an application for Facebook that enables you to create a less-than-one-minute movie that highlights some of your memories from your Facebook’s Timeline.
This app is extremely easy to use. On the main page, just hit the Make Your Movie button to get started. You will be prompted to grant the app access to your personal information. Once completed, the application will automatically look into your Timeline to create the movie.
The movie will automatically start playing once it has finished. Here’s an example of the video (not mine though). The movie features some highlights (including photos, videos and check-ins) from your Timeline.
After viewing, you have the options to replay the movie or to share the app (unfortunately not your video) with your Facebook friends. Also, you can replace images, videos and check-ins that appear in the movie as well as changing the background music of the movie from six choices of music : Original, Nostalgic, Cinematic, Romantic and Playful. Remember to hit the Remake Your Movie to apply the changes.
