October is a busy month for software developers as they are working hard to ensure their software are compatible with Windows 8 when the new Windows OS meets the public on October 26.
Three days ago, the people over Mozilla has released the first preview release of their Windows-8-compatible Firefox Metro browser.
The new Firefox Metro browser works well in both Windows 8 Start Screen and also the classic desktop. According to Mozilla blog, the browser offers a new Metro style Firefox Start page, support for Firefox Sync, Metro touch and swipe gestures, integration with Windows 8 “charms”, plus a simple but powerful Australis interface.
As for future updates, the Firefox Metro browser will receive more features, improved support for Windows 8 and performance and responsiveness enhancements, among others.
For users who are eager to test drive the preview release of Firefox Metro browser on Windows 8 RTM, you can now download a nightly build of Mozilla Firefox. Keep in mind that the preview release contains bugs. If you found one (or more), please let Mozilla know so that they can fix the issues in next build release.
