First announced on May 10, the app store for the world’s largest social networking site, called the Facebook App Center has made its debut yesterday on June 8! Users can access the app store on the web, iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) as well as Android devices.
The app center has began rolling out to users in the United States and other countries as well. Initially, the Facebook App Center has over 600 apps available for the social site. Some of the popular apps are Draw Something, Instagram, Diamond Dash, Slotomania and Tetris Battle, just to name a few. Users can find apps through their friends, browse by category, or get personalized recommendations.
According to Facebook, you can easily send a mobile app to your mobile device from the App Center if you are browsing it from your computer. Here’s an example.
Whenever a mobile app requires a download, you will be taken to the respective install page in the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play(for Android).
