The Chrome team over Google has announced yesterday the availability of the latest stable version of the Chrome browser for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome Frame.
The Chrome browser now carries version number 22.0.1229.79. A check on the “About Google Chrome” doesn’t longer reveal the version number in a box, instead display it in a page.
Google Chrome 22 Stable comes with several enhancements for better experience using the browser, especially for online gaming. With the availability of the Mouse Lock (also known as Pointer Lock) Javascript API, you can now experience more natural gaming on web apps.
Now, 3D applications such as first-person games can allow users to control their perspective naturally with the mouse, without moving outside the window or bumping into the edge of their screen.
Here a 3D, first-person demo that you might want to try out.
Other features include additional Windows 8 enhancements (Yes, the OS will the store on October 26), continued polish for users of HiDPI/Retina screens, plus load of bug fixes and enhancements.
Google Chrome 22 Stable is compatible with Windows 7, Vista and XP, Mac and Linux operating systems.
