In less than a month time, Rovio Entertainment will launch the Angry Birds Star Wars II game to major mobile platforms – iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The exact launch date is set for September 16.
As we are drawing closer to the launch of the second installment of Angry Birds Star Wars franchise, Rovio has decided to share a few new details regarding the game. First up, there is a new video for viewing – it’s the first “Join the Pork Side” video. In the video, you shall meet the Emperor and interestingly the character is voiced by the Emperor from the original Star Wars films, Ian McDiarmid. Now, you want to play as pigs or birds? Choose your side!

In addition to that, Rovio will introduce all the characters accordingly from the game in a countdown to the app launch. As revealed earlier, there are over 30 characters available in the form of both birds and pigs. The first batch of character reveal gameplay videos will available this coming Monday, August 26. Take note of that.
Angry Birds Star Wars II will be priced at $0.99 when it hits iOS, Android and Windows Phone this September 16. Beside the paid version, a free ad-supported version will also available on Android’s Google Play.
