Rovio Entertainment has just announced the latest (most probably the final) installment of its Angry Birds Star Wars franchise. Named as Angry Birds Star Wars II, the game is based on the second trilogy or prequels to the Star Wars saga.
Angry Birds Star Wars II will hit app stores worldwide coming this September 19. That’s another two months from now. In the new game, you will get to play with huge lineup of over 30 characters. In addition to playing the bird characters, you can choose “to join the Pork side”. Hey, this is interesting and a first for Angry Birds series. 🙂
Other than that, there will be over 30 collectable TELEPODS figures from Hasbro. The interesting part is that, by placing these figures onto your phone or tablet camera will scan your character of choice directly into the game, allowing you to select new characters on the fly.
