Since the successful launch of the Angry Birds game for Apple’s iOS in December 2009, the game has been designed to work on various platforms and devices such as Android, Palm, Symbian^3, N900, PC and Mac operating systems.
With the goal to get Angry Birds to all relevant devices and platforms out there, Rovio will release a new Angry Birds game for Facebook in May.
According to report from The Next Web, one of the Rovio spokesperson (Peter Vesterbecka) that they talked with, has confirmed that the popular game is due to full release on Facebook in May.
The Facebook-version of the Angry Birds game is said to have “completely new aspects to it that just haven’t been experienced in any other platform,” according to Rovio CEO Mikael Hed. The Rovio chief also mentioned that the game would leverage Facebook’s ‘collaborative nature’, giving the pigs “a more prominent role”.
Maybe this time we can see the pigs get their revenge on the birds or we may get to control the pig with the aim to steal the eggs from those angry birds.
Till then, let’s wait for the launch in May and at the mean time, visit the Angry Birds Facebook page and like it to hear the latest news on the Angry Birds game for Facebook and other contents.
I’m interested to find out how fast will the Angry Birds game climb to the top spot as the most popular Facebook game. As for February 2011, the top five Facebook games were Cityville, Farmville, Texas HoldEm Poker, FrontierVille and Cafe World.
