As the main character in this game, you will get a yellow rodent-like creature as your partner. That’s Pikachu if you wonder. The team-up between trainer and their partner are called a Sync Pair. To engage in the battles, you can team-up with other Sync Pairs.
The confirmed Sync Pairs thus far (at the time of writing) are Brock & Onix, Rosa & Snivy, Red & Charizard, Blue & Pidgeot, Misty & Starmie, Cynthia & Garchomp, Iris & Haxorus, Clair & Kingdra, Brendan & Treecko, Flannery and Torkoal, and Barry and Piplup.
The main highlight of this Pokemon game is the three-on-three team battles with other trainers all over the globe in a tournament called the Pokemon Master League, or PML for short. To participate in the PML, you must defeat PML leaders all over Pasio to earn five badges.
