New Nexus 7 Malaysia

The new second generation Nexus 7 tablet will hit the local market in Malaysia in mid September. This is what we’ve been told during the Q&A session in today’s “We Transform” press event in Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur. The tablet was first unveiled some three weeks ago.

In the press event today, ASUS Malaysia has announced the availability of several products including the MeMO Pad HD 7 (already available prior to the event), VivoBook S500 series, new N series and all new A series. The company also showcased Fonepad Note FHD 6 and Padfone Infinity. Our full coverage on the event will be published in separate post.

Well, it’s the new Nexus 7 that grabbed the spotlight in the event. Mr Li Huai Pin, country product manager of tablets has one unit of the new Nexus 7 with him and brought it over to the event. At the time of writing, there’s no details on the pricing and availability as well as the model (16GB or 32GB) that ASUS Malaysia is bringing to local market.
