After the Fonepad, now ASUS has started to take pre-orders for the Taiwanese company’s third generation Android smartphone and tablet hybrid – the Padfone Infinity in their home market of Taiwan.
As for the pricing, the Padfone Infinity will retail at NT$20,990 ($704 or RM 2,178) for 32GB version. Padfone Infinity 64GB smartphone is priced at NT$22,990 ($771 or RM2,386). Add in another NT$5,000 ($167 or RM518) to get the 10.1-inch dockable tablet Padfone Station. Padfone Infinity is expected to go on sale in early April or mid-April in Taiwan, other countries will follow next.
As compared to the previous Padfone 2, the Padfone Infinity get a larger full HD screen display with faster quad-core processor, LTE connectivity, runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while its Station tablet features full HD display. More details on the specs here.
