Better late than never, the long-awaited third generation of ASUS-built smartphone and tablet hybrid, otherwise known as Padfone Infinity is going to hit stores in Malaysia in coming months, probably in September or October. The Padfone Infinity made its first appearance at MWC 2013 in February this year.
Padfone Infinity was showcased earlier today at ASUS Malaysia “We Transform” press event alongside with Fonepad Note FHD 6, MeMO Pad HD 7, Vivobook S551 series, new ASUS N series and all new A series.
As compared with Padfone 2, the Padfone Infinity get a larger 5-inch full HD screen display with faster quad-core processor (Snapdragon 600), LTE connectivity, runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while its 10.1-inch Station tablet features full HD display. Full specs here.
At the time of writing, there’s no details on the pricing and exact availability. There’s higher possibility that ASUS Malaysia will bring in only 32GB model like last time with Padfone 2. The pricing of 32GB Padfone Infinity bundled with Padfone Station could range between RM 2600 to RM 2800.
P.S. : We heard that ASUS is making the sequel of Padfone Infinity featuring Snapdragon 800 processor.
