Improve Your Android Phone Battery Life with Juice Defender App1 min read

No one should ever become a slave to the power socket, just because your Android phone can hardly last a working day. Try the JuiceDefender app to boost your battery performance and get more out of each charge.

JuiceDefender is a free application for Android, that is designed to extend battery life of your Android phone by intelligently managing the battery-draining components of Android devices, like 3G/4G connectivity and WiFi.

This power management application is pretty much a set-and-forget application. In the interface (Go to the Status tab), you are presented with five preset profiles : Balanced, Aggressive, Extreme, Customize and Advanced. In this free version, you can choose only two profiles, either Balanced or Aggressive. The other profiles are only available for Plus and Ultimate versions.

Once you have selected the desired profile, you can just leave JuiceDefender to take care of the rest. Now, whenever your Android phone run into idle mode, meaning that the screen is now off, the application will disable the 3G/4G connectivity, WiFi and enable the CPU scaling.

The next thing you know, you have claimed back extra hours of battery life. 🙂

In case you want to find out what the application has been doing on your phone, you can read the full activity log.

JuiceDefender is a free download for Android phones, available in the Android Market.
