Now, let’s look at the new features and improvements brought to this new version. First, the WordPress for Android 2.1 beta now has auto-save feature while writing articles on the go. Your article will be automatically saved every 60 seconds. However, there is no option to change the auto-save timer.

Besides that, the app now gives you the convenience  to edit comments on the go as well as the ability to set the width for linked images. The app also comes with an all new WordPress.com reader (the Read option will be available if you have a WordPress.com blog). It’s now quicker to navigate between posts, you can add comments to posts and share the post to other Android apps.

Other features include small improvements to the UI, most notably is the delete post button has been relocated to a less prominent spot to prevent accidental taps on it, along with several reliability improvements and translation updates.

The app supports device with Android 2.1 or newer and “Unknown Sources” must be enabled in Settings & Applications on your Android phone to install the app.
