Microsoft has just unveiled its own-branded Windows 8 tablets called the Surface, in an media event in Los Angeles. Two models were announced by the Redmond-based company. They are Surface for Windows RT and Surface for Windows 8 Pro.

The Windows 8 Surface tablet comes with an integrated kickstand and a 3mm thin, pressure sensitive cover, called the Touch Cover. The Touch Cover has a fully functioning keyboard and trackpad. Once attached to the tablet, you will get yourself a fully fledged netbook.
