Read It Later Extension for Google Chrome1 min read

There must be time when you came across several interesting pages while surfing the net, but didn’t have the time to read them at the moment. Many of you would put all the URLs in your browser bookmark lists. But by doing so, your bookmark lists will be very crowded in no time. A much better way is to use the Read It Later service.

Read It Later is a popular web service that allows you to save interesting web pages for later reading. This service eliminates cluttering of bookmarks with sites that are merely of a one-time interest. Besides web version, Read It Later is available as iphone app and Firefox extension. And now, Read It Later has come to Google Chrome.

ChromeRIL is an extension for Google Chrome that adds a “Read It Later” icon to the Chrome toolbar. When you come across any interesting webpage but don’t have time to read, you can mark it for later read with a single click using ChromeRIL extension.

After installed, you will need to first enter your Read It Later account details i.e. username and password. After that, you can start adding pages for later reading. To add page to your Read It Later account, simply click on the Read It Later icon from the toolbar, then hit the “Add to Unread” button.

The pages (up to 5 pages) will appear in the popup list, so that you can get to them when you’ve got time. The complete list of unread web pages are listed under your Read It Later account. Click “Unread List” to view them.

Once read, you can removed the pages from the list by clicking “remove” button.

Install ChromeRIL to mark any webpage for later read in Google Chrome.
