SwiftPreview is a simple yet handy extension for the Google Chrome browser that gives you the ability to preview webpage links (including shortened links), zoom photos in Facebook and any other websites, as well as preview Youtube video links, all without the need to open them in new tab or windows.
This is an example of preview of a webpage link on Facebook. Simply hover on the link for the preview to pop out. Even better, the preview will dynamically re-size (for best viewing experience) as you move around your mouse cursor.
If you like to read the content of the webpage without open it in new tab or windows, you can actually pin (or freeze) the preview in place by simply hit the Ctrl key from your keyboard. Then, you are free to scroll through the content in the preview, just like you are doing the same on a normal window.
SwiftPreview supports viewing webpage link preview on social networking sites like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, Google+ as well as any other sites including My Tech Quest. It works in Gmail too.
When you comes across a Youtube video link, simply hover on the link to display the preview of the video. Hit Ctrl to pin the video preview and play the video without leaving your current tab.
If you hover the mouse cursor on an image on Facebook or any sites with images, you will see the full size of the image.
In the Options page, you can customize the size of the preview, There are also options to display enlarge pinned previews and pre-render pages for faster previews. Also, the option to display preview only when you hold the Shift key. If you feel annoyed to see the previews every time you put the cursor on a link, you should enable this option.
Or if don’t want to see any preview on a particular website or webpage, you can simply hit the SwiftPreview icon (located next to the address box) to disable previews.
