Details about the Surface RT 2 (it now has a new name – Surface 2) has emerged several months ago. Now, details about the second generation Surface Pro tablet has been circulating online. The people over Neowin.net have the information regarding the Surface Pro 2. Read on.
First off, the Microsoft-built tablet is expected to feature 4th generation Haswell-based Core i5 processor. The new processor shall helps improve the battery life of Surface Pro tablet as the chip maker has claimed that the Haswell processor would improve battery life by up to 50 percent. The original Surface Pro which has a poor battery life of just 4 hours may lasts for 6 hours in the new model.
In addition to that, the new model may see the original 4GB RAM memory is doubled to 8GB, plus the kickstand will be refined with a possible alternative viewing angles. Surface Pro 2 shall runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. May launch on October alongside with the Windows 8.1.
