The new, second generation Google Nexus 7 tablet was unveiled some two weeks ago. As compared to its predecessor, the new tablet is slimmer, lighter with higher resolution screen, improved performance, dual-speakers, LTE support (optional) and on top of that is it runs Android 4.3.
Last year, we’ve seen the drop test of the original Nexus 7, by the people over Android Authority. This time around, guess what, they are back drop-testing the new Nexus 7 tablet. In the video, the tablet was dropped from roughly a four and half feet high onto the ground, from its sides, back and face down.

The bad news is that the tablet didn’t even survive the first drop test onto its back. The device just won’t turn on after that, even though there were only scratches to the surface. Anyway, watch the new Nexus 7 drop test video till the end and see for yourself the damages incurred to the tablet after four drops.
