The next generation of the ASUS Transformer Android tablet, the Transformer Prime will be running only the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS when it launches in the US in December (unconfirmed). However, the tablet is upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich next year. Most probably (or should be) early next year. 🙂
As you may already know the Transformer Prime is the world’s first quad-core tablet, powered by NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor. So how good is the quad-core Tegra 3 chip? Well, the people over Nvidia has something to show you. They have released a video demo showing Ice Cream Sandwich in action on Transformer Prime.
In the video, you will get the first look of ICS on Transformer Prime and see for yourself some of the new features on ICS such as the new transition effects and drag and drop folders. You get a look at the 1080p HD video playback as well as waterborne racing game Riptide, which uses all four cores to run. From my eyes, everything runs smoothly on the tablet. 🙂
Okay, check out the video yourself.
