The 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet was first introduced in September 2010 and hit the store on two months later. Now, after almost six months from the release, Samsung Mobile has finally announced the availability of the Wi-Fi only model of the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet. The Wi-Fi only model is expected to hit the U.S. market today (April 10) with a price tag of $349.99.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi model is identical to it’s 3G variant, except that the former doesn’t support 3G, of course. This model comes with 7-inch TFT multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600, 1GHz processor, Android 2.2 Froyo OS, 512MB RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity with expandable microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 3.2-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera.
The weight of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is only 13 ounces and it has a thickness of only 12 millimeters.
Closer at home, according to Rodger, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi model will available to consumers in Malaysia at a price tag of RM 1199. The tablet comes with all the same accessories as the original Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi + 3G model, with warranty by Samsung Malaysia. You can purchase the tablets from any Sen Heng or Sen Q outlets.
