Sharp has just unveiled its latest flagship Android smartphone, called the Aquos 104SH. Guess what, the phone will run the latest version of the Android OS, codenamed the “Ice Cream Sandwich” and is expected to be on sale in Japan through Softbank carrier in Spring 2012. Pricing and details on the availability of the phone in other markets remain unknown.
The Aquos 104SH features a 4.5-inch HD touchscreen display (1280×720 resolution), a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP4460 processor (same as the upcoming Google Nexus Prime) and sports a 12.1 megapixel camera with capability to record full HD video at 30 FPS. The phone will be bundled with a 2GB MicroSDHC memory card.
Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and 21Mbps HSPA+ broadband support. The Aquos 104SH is also dustproof and meets the IPX5/IPX7 standard for waterproofing to 10 feet. On top of that, the Android phone may feature own customized user interface, similar to Sense UI for HTC Android smartphones. As the phone specs isn’t yet official, Sharp may improve the Aquos 104SH before release.
On the colour variants, the Aquos 104SH will be available in three colours : Black, Blue and Orange/Blue. Thanks, electonista!
