Yet another tablet from Samsung Mobile. Yesterday, the Korean smartphone maker has officially announced its latest Honeycomb-based tablet, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a 7-inch WSVGA screen display (1024×600 resolution), a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and HD video recording capabilities and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
The honeycomb-based tablet weighs only 345g and measures at 9.96mm. It comes with two versions, the 16GB and 32GB variants, with expandable microSD card slot (up to 64GB). On the software side, the tablet is powered by Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS with the TouchWiz UI overlay.
Other features include supports for Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity and 21Mbps HSPA+broadband, along with Wi-Fi Direct.
On the availability, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be first rolled out to markets in Indonesia and Austria in mid-October. Then, follows by launches in Southeast and Southwest Asia, US, Europe, CIS, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Japan and China. Pricing and exact launch dates has yet to be announced.
