Three days back, when HTC corporation announced the new high-end HTC Sensation Android smartphone, the company also unveiled an enhanced version of its HTC Sense UI, namely Sense 3.0.
The new version of Sense offers a customizable active lockscreen experience that transforms the lockscreen into a real-time window to the most important information and content, such as social updates, photos, weather or stock updates that are viewed by simply turning on the display. In addition, the new active lockscreen becomes a customizable gateway that lets people quickly jump to the most used features, like making a phone call, sending an email, taking a picture or anything else with the same quick gesture usually used to unlock the phone.
With the Sense 3.0 offering such exciting features, there is no wonder for the owners of the recently-released or older HTC Android devices to start asking whether the Sense 3.0 is coming to their devices. If you are owning HTC Desire S, Desire HD, Incredible S or any older HTC Android devices, unfortunately, there will be no HTC Sense 3.o update for your devices. 🙁
According to Unwired View, HTC has said that because of the hardware requirements of the new Sense 3.0 UI, only the Sensation 4G, EVO 3D and Flyer tablet will be able to support it from now.
But not to completely disappoint the current owners of HTC Android phones, HTC left a message on Twitter several hours ago stating that the company is “working to incorporate other aspects” of Sense 3.0 that will work on older HTC Android devices.
Good news and we can’t wait to find out what are the features from Sense 3.0 UI that we will get! 🙂
