HTC corporation has officially unveiled its latest flagship Android handset, the HTC Sensation, (read the press release here), a high-end smartphone with impressive hardware specifications, new version of immersive HTC Sense 3.0 and HTC’s all-new HTC Watch video service. The HTC Sensation has a large 4.3-inch qHD (960×540 resolution) screen display fronted with a protective layer of the Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The Sensation is powered by 1.2Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 processor, with 768MB of RAM and 1GB of internal phone storage which can be expanded with a microSD card.

As for the camera features, the HTC Sensation has a 8-megapixels rear camera with auto-focus, dual LED flash and support for recording HD video at 1080p resolution. With the new instant capture camera, you can instantly capture a photo the moment you press the shoot button. Plus, with the new Video Trimmer tool, you can crop your video clips to the perfect size for easy sharing with friends and family. Beside rear camera, HTC Sensation has a VGA camera on its front for video calling.
The HTC Sensation runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense 3.0 overlay. The new version of Sense offers a customizable active lockscreen experience that transforms the lockscreen into a real-time window to the most important information and content, such as social updates, photos, weather or stock updates that are viewed by simply turning on the display.
Moreover, the HTC Sensation is the first smartphone to feature HTC Watch – a new video streaming service that puts an entire library of the latest, premium movies and TV shows for viewing on the handset. HTC Watch offers the choice of renting or buying videos, and if purchased, lets you watch them on up to five different HTC devices.
The device will launch on Vodafone’s network across its key European markets and will be available via T-Mobile in the United States. It will also be available in Asian markets in Q2 2011. At the time of writing, the pricing details of HTC Sensation is yet available.
