In the previous post on the HTC Bliss, we mentioned about the upcoming Android smartphone is most probably will run the new HTC Sense 3.5 user interface. Although there is no official announcement on the new Sense UI, but there is high possibility that HTC Bliss will sport Sense 3.5 UI.
Unlike the current Sense 3.0 UI, HTC Sense 3.5 should works on HTC smartphones with lower hardware specifications, as the HTC Bliss falls into the mid-range smartphone with decent hardware specs. If that is the case, previous HTC devices which don’t support the Sense 3.0 UI, might get new Sense 3.5 UI updates this time. =D
Now, let’s us explore some of the HTC Sense 3.5’s features. Note that the features might not turn up to be true.
Looking at the lock screen (left image above). It still feature a lock ring and (up to) four shortcut icons for quick access to your favorite applications. In addition, you can also get weather update from the lock screen. The widgets will have a new and more polished look in Sense 3.5. Sense 3.5 is also bringing some new widgets. The widgets also might be available at several different sizes.
In the home screen, the lower area of the screen is replaced by two icons, the one to the left will take you to the application list meanwhile the other one for quick access to the phone. Now, the home screen has more spaces for widgets. Just compare the weather widget with the one in my HTC Desire S (Sense 2.1), the widget in Sense 3.5 is much larger indeed.
In the image below you can see the new notification panel display for the currently connected wireless network. The rest is the familiar toggle switches that allows you to quickly switch on and off various toggles (such as bluetooth, mobile network, airplane mode etc) directly from notification panel. There is also shortcuts to view your currently running applications and access to the sound settings.
According to XDA.cn, they claim their version is a beta release and that the final variant to be shipping on the Bliss will indeed be more polished.
