HTC UK has confirmed that the female-oriented HTC Rhyme (which was officially unveiled yesterday) is coming to the UK market on October 17 and will be available exclusively through O2 UK network. FYI, the phone will first hit the US market on September 29 through Verizon Wireless network at $199.99 on a two year contract.
HTC Rhyme features a 3.7-inch WVGA screen display (480×800 resolution), a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, five-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capability, VGA front-facing camera, and is powered by a 1,600mAh battery. On the software side, Rhyme runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS with the new HTC Sense 3.5 overlay. More details on the specs here.
Rhyme will be bundled with stylish wired headset (no Beats Audio though), cable-free Bluetooth headset, an armband (for sport), a docking station that transforms into an alarm clock and music center, and a charm (attached to the phone) that notifies you of an incoming call or text message, by emitting a soft glow.
The HTC Rhyme will be offered in the Plum (purple) colour. Not sure on the availability of the other two colours – Clearwater and Hourglass. As for the pricing, according to Slashgear, they’re guessing that the Rhyme will be free with a new contract with O2 UK, at probably around £26 to £35 Pay Monthly tariff.
