HTC Rezound with Beats Audio Announced, Available in the US on November 141 min read

HTC Corporation has officially announced the next smartphone with Beats Audio in an event in New York yesterday. Introducing the HTC Rezound – a Verizon-exclusive phone and the first smartphone in the US to feature Beats Audio integration and comes with 4G LTE network support. Read on for more details.

The HTC Rezound is HTC’s first 720p smartphone. It has a large 4.3-inch super LCD WVGA screen display (1280×720 pixels), runs a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a huge 16GB of internal phone storage (expandable with a microSD card, up to 32GB). It packs 1,620 mAh battery.

The Android smartphone runs Gingerbread 2.3.4 OS with HTC Sense 3.5 overlay. HTC said that the smartphone will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in early 2012.

On the back, HTC Rezound carries an 8-megapixel camera, packs with F/2.2 lens, 28mm wide-angle lens, dual LED flash, and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front, it has a 2-megapixel camera for video calling.

The smartphone is bundled with a pair of custom-made Beats by Dr. Dre headphones to provide you with a better audio and multimedia experiences.

As for the pricing and availability, the Rezound smartphone is expected to go on sale via Verizon and Best Buy, starting November 14 for $299.99 with a two-year contract.
