HTC Explorer (a.k.a HTC Pico) with First Press Shots1 min read

Look like Taiwanese smartphone maker has a budget-friendly Android smartphone underway. The HTC Explorer (codenamed : Pico) will be the upcoming entry-level device for first-time smartphone users and is set to be the replacement model for the Wildfire handset.

The Android smartphone is rumoured to powered by a 600MHz processor, 3.2-inch HVGA display, 384MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and a 5-megapixel camera. On top of that, the smartphone runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS with the new HTC Sense 3.5 overlay. It will be available in black or blue colour variants.

According to CNET UK, the Explorer will be available to UK market on November this year and reported to have a data-control app (similar to 3G Watchdog app?), which will help you keep an eye on your 3G data usage. This is somehow pretty handy. =D Thanks, Pocketnow!
