In our earlier post, we have learnt that the HTC Desire mobile device and its variants, Desire HD and Desire Z, will be upgrading to the Android Gingerbread OS after the launch of the Desire S. But we were not so sure when though.
Today, we have another piece of news regarding the Gingerbread updates on Desire phones. According to report from SlashGear, one of the HTC spokesperson that they talked with, has confirmed that the latest batch of Gingerbread updates for its smartphones will be coming in the second quarter of the year. The smartphones that will receive the update are the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S.
With the confirmation of the Gingerbread updates, this will be welcome news for HTC Desire owners, especially the original HTC Desire model in which their will be it’s second OS update. The first being the update to Android 2.2 Froyo from Android 2.1. 🙂 Thanks, Android Central!
